GeForce GTX is a brand of graphics processing units designed by NVIDIA that are used in top end gaming PCs. NVIDIA hosts a yearly gaming competition using its hardware that features international teams of top gamers/influences going head-to-head over a two-day event.The event is live streamed over Twitch and acts as huge advertising platform for the hardware.
We were challenged to create a visual identity for the 2017 event that appealed to the gaming counter-culture.The identity is based around a giant mothership and a smaller orb filled with power, this represented the power of the GTX processors. Each country/team has it’s own glyph and these are featured within the advertising as we encouraged the audience to “back their team” online.
Working within NVIDIA’s in-house design team we created social media campaigns, online adverting, promo videos and a website. Artwork included creating country glyphs, organising photoshoots and creating storyboards for the external VFX team.
